10. IELTS: Writing Task 2

Most of the languages have been destroyed in this decade (10 yrs)/ century (100 yrs) due to the development of communication technology. Support your view with logic.

Introduction

A recent survey by UNESCO reveals that 90% of the language of the world would be dead in this century especially due the introduction of the internet. Because of the heavy improvement of this communication sector, languages like Spanish and English are the languages of the internet.

Problem:

Due to the development of communication tecnology such as the net, satellite TV and mobiles, the cultural of a paticular country is being destroyed. Dominance of English in these technologies seriously influences people worldwide to tern to western culture and language. Moreover, we can not help using these useful technologies.

Solution

Besides the internet, satellite TV, mobile, answering machine, fax, phone and above all, computers are the major commincation devices used by the people of this century. All these devices use English predominantly. As English and Spanish are the languages of the developed nations they are highly used by the latest communication equipments and technology. Therefore , they become the dominant languages of the world. This technology also helps the process of globalization that can make an international community with unified languages, cultural and education. People like the "developed culture" and are ready to accept their languages. Besides, movie, music and other cultures have developed tremendously in this decade, and are accessed free and fast via internet to people of the globe. Therefore, from native language to mother tongue, we are being destroyed with the advent of the internet. As we learn how from  the history, in the time of english colonization, people of the host countiries sacrificed their languages to English, and in most cases, the English is still the first or second official languages of these affected countries. Another example of language death is observed in Australia where people of this country including the aboriginals spoke 700 languages. Now, only a few languages survived among the majority English speakers. The UNESCO, the educational and cultural body of the United Nations, understands the dangers of language death. Therefore, it has given one language as the status of International Mother Language Day that is Bangla, The official language of Bangladesh, a south asian country. the reason is that in 1952, some people sacrificed their lives to save their mother tongue that was banned by its former Paksitani colony.

Conclusion

However, there are some measures from the conscious citizen of a country to protect its mother tongue from the aggression of the developed languages which are spoken by less number of people of the firstg world. For example, some Peruvians have developed and produced rock music in Quechua, a native language, one used by 70% people of this Latin American country. Thus, an individual country can develop its languages, education, culture, movie, music, media etc. up to the international standard and save its mother languages from being extinct(endangered).

9. IELTS: Writing Task 2

Prisons are basically university of crime, fostering the of behavior they aim to eradicate. In what ways prisons help criminals to functions normally  when they return to society? Do you think such attempts at rehabilitating criminals are effective?

By Mehedi

Introduction

From the dungeon of the ancient society times to the modern-penitentiary, we feel the necessity of rehabilitating criminals in a secluded place from the society. People who violate the law should be kept somewhere away from the normal society to teach them the value of law, and how should we obey norms.

Problem:

It is  observed that poor management and maintenance o prisons can produce crimes rather eradicating them.  Especially prisons in developing countries are unable to accommodate and feed criminals. Being nurtured in inhuman situation, prisons inmates learn nothing about humanity and returned to the criminal life. And lack of prisons in the third word also encourages people to commit crimes. In addition, some dangerous criminals with incorrigible psychological attitude should be queued in death row in some developed countries help to encourage criminals to crimes.

Solution

Prisons like hospitals can help people from the psychological malfunctioning of criminals. Moreover, we show one of the best qualities of human being, forgiveness by rehabilitating criminals in prison. In an ideal prisons in-mates are fed, sheltered and taught life skills that can help to find other jobs than crime. In addition, a good prisons  treats its mates psychologically and morally, and helps them to overcome the tendency towards crime. Some prisons in the first world as well as in  country like Brazil allow the prisoners to live along with their family, children and teach them the value and respect of crime free normal lives.

In my opinion, human understands the necessity of prisons of a prison since ancient times. We should rehabilitate criminals from all age group and both sexes with proper conditions to teach the in-mates the value of a crime free -social life and ultimate respect for law and order.

8. IELTS: Writing Task 2

In many countries children are engaged in some kind of paid work. Some people regard this as completely wrong, while others consider it was valuable work experience, important for learning and taking responsibility. What are your opinions on this? Or, "Student should study and work together."

We observe in the western world that students work study together. They do not have economic hardship as we have in the third world. Their children work in the neighbor, work part time and earn to support their academic life.
However, some opines that children or students should not work as well as study. this emotional and unrealistic approaches to education prevent most of the students to gain valuable work experience. Experience is necessary component of a skilled labor, which can contribute to developing economy. But, we should not encourage children to to do full time paid-work that discourages them attending schools. Full-time child labor should be discouraged. Only part-time jobs are suitable for students.
In my opinion, students should work and study together. One main objective of having good working knowledge in a particular field is to help someone who finishes education and is looking for a job or any other self-employed profession. the world becomes very competitive in this decade, so having specific work experience will definitely make somebody to develop a career as a professional. For example, teaching is a profession that requires creativity and competence. A student can work as demonstrator in a lab and get his tution fee balanced through remuneration, obtained from the teaching assistance ship. Skilled labor like craftsman, driver, cook, shop attendent, caregiver, barbar etc needs practical experience. Therefore, gaining theoretical experience saves times, energy and money. Mowing neighbors' lawn, looking after children, pets, delivering newspaper and many more self-generating, exciting and creative jobs are in the list of growing up students. Moreover, work makes them responsibile and tidy  in their daily routine. The money earned from the labor may not be sufficient, but they develop workmanship and responsibility that are required for the fittest that survives. So, students in the rich rich countries amture at 18 and take overall responsibility for their survival. In the end, they become more prosperous and happier than their counterparts living under the social taboo, ego and superstition that prevent them from working  during their student lives.
In addition, various social jobs can benefit neighborhood and make good friendship among all neighbors. Respect for work, discipline, sinccerity, devotion, competence, preseverance etc. are extra valuable learning which can not achieved through theoretical educaton.
Therefore, I support my view with that students should study and work cocurrently to be successful in their early lives.

7. IELTS: Writing Task 2

"We should encourage women to join armed forces". What's your opinion of the topic?

Introduction

Men and women should have equal rights. We also observe in developed countries men and women enjoy almost the same and equal degree of freedom.

Problem

However, in developing and poor countries rate of education is poor. Poverty, unemployment, riligious barrier, superstitions and prejudices make us a very male dominating society. Our women are not encouraged for jobs, self employments like western women. they are mostly housewives and homemakers. Moreover, we are a Muslim country that discourages women to have formal jobs and encourages them to wear veils to appear in public. but we are a poor country and we need more jobs occupied by women.

Solution

But, nowadays women are not staying at their broken and unsafe homes. Poverty, hunger, unemployment change the role of our soviety. The most competent women share equal jobs and status aa men. They are also encoureged to join in army, navy and air force. In these forces, we need doctors, nurses, cook, and sweepers, cleaner and other household jobs. When a women works besides a man, the wwhole team is inspired and unites as a stronger force. In my country, we have awarded and honored our brave women who fought our liberation war in 1971. Moreover, women can join in different cultural and entertainment programs in armed forces those are highly required. We should encourage highly educated women to join forces in commissioned ranks. In addition, our women in education surpass men.

Example

Now they have better academic grades than men. they can serve as doctors, engineers and other technical positions suitable for them. In the Middle east war, we also observe a large of women marine soilders in US armed forces gathered in these highly religious Muslims countries. They also showed their competence in the war. Radical countries like Libya, Algeria, Afganistan, Iran and Iraq put a ban on women joining army. Moreover, women are not allowed to work outside in a Muslim radical country. Now it's a matter of relief that Bangladesh Army has allowed women to join forces.

Conclusion

Women have proved their efficiencies in some jobs at marketing, reception, secretariats, customer care, human resources, IT and computer based jobs, which are now increasing in large numbers. Some brave women now participate in space programs, research teams, and adventurous jobs. Therefore, I think women should join in defense forces.

6. IELTS: Writing Task 2

For a long time there has been concern about the quality of the food we eat what with food addiditives and contamination from pesticide and pollution. Now the advantages of genetically modified crops (foods) are causing general public. In this concern, in your opinion, justified, and are we all just looking for something worry about?

As human we know how to produce and cook food for our survival. As population increases, we cannot rely on nature to provide food rather we cultivate land, use pesticide, fertilizers for more food production. We are able to produce rice in the desert via proper irrigation and later, by the genetically modified rice capable of growing in desert without water.  We preserve our food for a long time by addiditives preservatives and other chemical like flavor, color etc. but, some naturist' especially radical types claim that these canned foods are not hygienic and sometimes detrimental to health. They also blame genetically produced foods will destroy natural foods, and natural seeds will not survive against high potency of GM crops. Moreover, the production of GM foods may destroy organic farming, which is gaining popularity in England. Some observers from the poor countries fear with GM foods providing another monopoly over them.

Genetically produced foods are hot cake of this country as we are now 6 billion people living in this limited land. Two-thirds of the people lived in the third world countries in Asia, Africa and in Eastern Europe. These people do not have more land to cultivate and they suffer from hunger. At present, we need more and more crops in our limited land. Genetically Modified crops are now the solution to fight hunger. These GM crops withstand  harsh weather; insects, herbs and can even grow without water. recent development of drought- free rice by IRRI( Int'l Rice Research Institute) explai the benefits of GM products. They can be produced in huge quantity rather than ordinaryor natural crops. For example, hybrid rice is popular in our country such as IRRI, BRRI ect. and they are high yielding.

Yes, there are some bottle necks that we need to overcome to have access to these GM foods. As GM crops are the research products of the 1st world, they may charge higher for these peoducts or have monopoly over them through the perspectives of agricultural and economic views. But, we need to develop mpore artificial foods and crops for the majority's survive.

A growing number of people feel that animals should have the same human rights as humans. Others feel that animals must always come first and accuse animals' rights activist of being overly sentimental. How do you agree or disagree?

By Mehadi

According to the Darwinian Theory of evolution we know that human has come to this flourished and suitable stage after a series of processes called evolution, from monkey, primate, and ape to human. Human is superior to any animal in this earth as it's only human who has perfectly developed physical and psychological characteristics.

As human, we have five sense organs and brain to develop the quality of our lives. Man has conqured moon, traveled the bottom of the Atlantic, and adventure to North Pole. Each and every religion advises human as the best creation of God.  Human has conscientiousness, as other animals do not. By this quality man can judge right from wrong, truth from lies and understand humanity, the greatest virtue that only human can prossess.

Some animal right activists are always sentimental and radical. They have objection against keeping animals in zoo, putting fish in aquarium and birds in cage. They insist animals should be always free in nature. But, man has used animals, eats them and destroys forest to make human habitat. In this way human gradually has come to this flourished stage of civilizatio. However, animal scientist like Jane Goodle, an Englishwoman working on the behavior of chimps in Tanzania says that chimp has feelings similar to human. She only ensures that we should conserve forest and keep animals' habitat free from human exploitation. Unlike radical activists she reserves the rights of human and understands the problems of chimps, the ancestor of human.

As naturist Darwin said that only the fittest would survive. it is the human who with their qualities have escaped from being endangered and have come to this developed stage of civilization and reserves their rights as the fittest and the best creature in this universe.

Education is not a luxury, but a basic human right and such should be free for everyone irrespectively of personal wealth. Discuss the difficulties  of applying such a principle.

By Mehedi

Education is the backbone of the nation. It is observed that a properly educated nation can enjoy the most prestigious status of human. The wealther a nation the more educated its people are. Education is a basic human right like food, clothes, medicine and shelter. Therefore, a developing nation should spend  the lion's share of its nationl budget for education. But, only theoretical knowledge cannot simply meet the hunger of poor nations. There is something that is more important than theoretical education.

Knowledge is power, which is only achieved from real education. Proper utilization of knowlwdge to develop business and and industry is essential for the overall groeth of a developing country. Most western countries have literacy rate more than 90%, is the vivid indicator of development. Education has basically three categories such as primary, secondary and tertiary (i.e. university degree). Generally, primary education is the need that should be fulfilled by all countries, irrespective of their economic statuses. A nation is always responsible for the primary education of its generation. It is also a matter of their prestige to survive as the best creation of this universe and understand the on going process of human development via evalution. Only an educated person can boast of his wealth while education is the light to follow  and is better than any form of wealth a man can possess. Primary helps to develop a native language necessary for effective communication, which is required for a development achieved from a collective use of talents from different classes of a country. Therefore, a country should provide education to all citizens, whether they rich or poor.

There are some difficulties and problems arises while  a developing or a poor nation is unable to provide the light of education in its basic form i.e. primary level. A hungry child can not leearn anything untill it is fed up. So, poverty, hunger, shelter etc. are some basic rights, which are prime important for a developing country before primary education. Although, job oriented education, vocational training, and practical diplomas are the desired form of education than basic primary education. Moreover, it is observed thata poor nation is suffering heavily with highly educated unemployed young generation.  The knowledge that fails to generate income may not appropriate for the least developed country. It is recommended to cut a larger slice of its budget allocation for higher education at the optimum level. In addition, education is equal for all and it is not limited to rich people. For this schools have a provision of wearing same dress showing equal status among rich and poor children. Thereby, we should provide basic education free for each person irrespective of his personal wealth. Rich or poor every person should take education.

Regardless of some problems arise due to provide free education, a developing country should spend most of its revenue on education, and make primary education almost free; and is accessed to the whole generation.

3. IELTS: Writing Task 2

Animals are endangered in natural ways. In what extent do you support this idea?
By Mehedi

Introduction: From the Darwinian theory of evolution we understand that there are always some animals, which are on the verge of extinction due to the natural reasons. Extinction of some animals helps to produce the growth of some animals that are the fittest for survival.

Problems: Animals are endangered due to natural and man-made activities. Natural selection is a process where certain types of animals die by naural activities to enhance the possibilities of certain types of animals to survive, and it is a slow process. However, forest area and lives of animals have been reduced substantially in the last five decades because of man-made activitise like urbanization, civilization, farming, poaching, chemical and fertilizers, industrialization, Even the animal of north and south poles are disappearing as the human civilization has developed and expanded tremendously in this century.

Solution: As per the mentioned theory, human has developed from their ancestors, ape or monkeys and this lead the extinction of some spices. Similar situation can be observed from the extinct dinoasours those used to eat top of tress and causes their food finished thereby. It is the death of these massive animals paved the evaluation of human race. In general, there are three basic types of animals: carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Animals are depended on each other. When a species of certain herbivore disappears, then the dependent carnivore is also endangered. As for example, due to huge poaching of Royel Bengal tigers increases tne number of deer in the Sundarban, the largest mangrove forest in the world. There are some natural and man-made activitise which led the extinction of some animals constantly from environment. Certain eating behavior, extinction of dependent species, deforestation, natural clamity like volcano, earth quack are some natural causes that pose threat to some animals to be endangered. Man-made activitise like degradation of natural habitat of animals; poaching, killing animals for food, lack of farming of animals etc. are the main reasons behind animal extinction(main opinion). In addition, a study says that a large number of marsh water and salt water crocodiles was beaten to death as they are very aggressive to human. Conversely, an excessive growth of certain animals can lead the extinction of dependent species. Natural selection is such an idea that says that when a species is endangered, the other species is developed and nurtured by nature. It's a natural process to select certain animals for survival. In this way, nature balances its ecosystem.

Example: The reasons for the distinction of animals and their habitat are also important in these days while poachers are very active with the latest weapon to kill lion, tiger, elephant and rhino and so on. A study suggest that excessive poaching of deer in "the Sundarban" causes the number of tigers decreasing. Cutting down of trees (logging), killing birds and aquatic creatures etc. are also reasons causing dependent animals to be endangered.

In conclution, we can say that estinction of some animals provides the chances of survival of other animals with better quality. This type of extinction done by nature is happened to make an ecological balance for animals living together. But, we must conserve and save our animals and protect their natural habitats to optimize our chances for survival and limit our activities that cause animal extinction.
